Nick Brown

Nick is a pre-eminent force in media technology. In the capacity of IT Director at Sky he was responsible for a number of significant developments in IPTV and interactive services including the acclaimed "Red Button." Nick went on to float two media technology companies on the stock markets and recently founded a major augmented reality solution provider. Nick provides a wealth of experience in media and technology, is an expert at planning commercial strategies and brings an understanding of the process of scaling a company rapidly.

Martin Saunders PhD

Martin is the scientist of our team. His education includes a first degree in Biochemistry and a doctorate in medicine with quantum physics and he has worked as a synthetic chemist, production manager at a biotech company and in a number of production roles. In 2004 he founded digital agency MS Internet and oversaw the production of more than 300 websites and mobile apps, before exiting in 2011. His key roles at Bright Star are appraising the technology of potential investees and advising on product development. Martin operates from the Midlands, providing the crucial link to this region.

Grant Slatter

Grant comes from an entrepreneurial background and has seen business success in a number of fields. He served as a Royal Marines officer before moving into residential and later commercial property development. In recent years he has developed an insurance product with Legal & General, authored, published and launched a children's book series, and created and launched a mobile fitness application. In addition to providing a wealth of operational experience Grant manages investor relations.
